Taste Like a Sommelier Workshop
Erich Bradley leads one of eight curated sessions in the Rhône Rangers "Choose Your Rhône Adventure" workshop program. His session — Taste Like a Sommelier — is a blind tasting built around the 2021 Ojai Mountain Estate Syrah.

Before the Grand Tasting opens, Erich Bradley leads one of eight curated sessions in the Rhône Rangers "Choose Your Rhône Adventure" workshop program.
The experience unfolds from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm, with groups rotating every 15 minutes — a structure that keeps each session intimate and ensures every guest genuine, unhurried time with Erich. Each group's attendance is limited to 20 guests.
What You'll Be Doing
The session is built around blind tasting — the method sommeliers use to evaluate a wine before knowing what's in the glass. Erich leads the discussion at each table. The format is roundtable, not lecture — you're talking through what you're experiencing, not watching a presentation from the back of a room.
By the end, you'll know what you were tasting and why it was chosen. You'll also leave with a repeatable framework for evaluating any wine — the same method a sommelier uses to work through an unknown bottle under exam conditions.

Erich Bradley has been making wine at Ojai Mountain for more than 25 vintages. He's not a spokesperson or a marketing representative — he's the person who farmed the fruit, made every decision in the cellar, and can tell you precisely what was happening in the 2021 growing season and why the wine turned out the way it did. That kind of direct access is what makes a workshop like this worth your morning.
Session Details
Workshop tickets are separate from Grand Tasting admission. If you want both, plan around check-in at 9:30 am — the workshop wraps at noon and the Grand Tasting opens at 1:30 pm, giving you a comfortable break between sessions.
