Winemaker
Erich Bradley is a Sonoma-based winemaker with a reputation for crafting small-batch, terroir-driven wines from high-elevation vineyards. His philosophy centers on minimal intervention in the cellar, using native yeasts for fermentation, avoiding added sugars, and aiming for naturally balanced levels of alcohol. Bradley honed his craft at acclaimed wineries including Repris and Sojourn Cellars, where he established a track record of producing highly regarded wines. At Ojai Mountain, he continues this artisan approach, working with organically and regeneratively farmed vineyards. Cover crops, compost, and natural pest management sustain the health of the soils, while thoughtful farming preserves the character of each site. The result is wines that are expressive, fresh, and site-specific, reflecting the mountain terrain and the unique conditions of each vineyard block.
Erich’s Winemaking JourneyHead Viticulturist
Martín Ramírez is the head viticulturist at Ojai Mountain and the owner of The Vineyards of Ojai, a vineyard management company that has farmed many of the region’s top vineyards for more than two decades. He oversees the full viticulture calendar, from pruning through harvest, guiding each stage of the growing season toward healthy vines and concentrated fruit. His farming follows organic and biodynamic principles, with cover crops, compost, and natural pest control sustaining the soils. Ramírez also fosters raptor populations and pollinator habitats to preserve balance and biodiversity. With decades of experience in Ojai, he produces fruit of exceptional quality, meeting the exacting standards of winemaker Erich Bradley and forming the foundation for wines that express the character of the mountain.
Viticultural Consultant
Phil Coturri is a pioneer of organic winegrowing in California, with more than 35 years of experience shaping how vineyards are farmed across Sonoma and beyond. Sonoma Magazine called him “the ubiquitous wizard of sustainable winemaking,” while the Hollywood Reporter described him as a “famed organic viticulturist.” Coturri has consulted for numerous vineyards and wineries, including the highly regarded Kamen Estate in Sonoma. His influence extends to projects such as Dos Limones and Winery Sixteen 600, the latter founded by his family as a living example of his vision for sustainable, terroir-driven viticulture. While no single record captures his full impact, Coturri’s work has left a lasting mark on many of Northern California’s highest-quality vineyards. At Ojai Mountain, Coturri advises on the challenges of farming a high-elevation, coastal site, helping ensure that the vineyards are cultivated responsibly while producing fruit of exceptional character for small-batch, minimal-intervention wines.
