Ojai Mountain is pouring at Los Angeles magazine's 20th annual The Food Event, held on the lawns and oak groves of Calamigos Ranch in the Malibu hills. One ticket covers unlimited tastings from dozens of L.A. restaurants, plus boutique wineries, craft breweries, cocktails and spirits.
Find our table for three estate wines, each grown and bottled on a single mountaintop vineyard in Upper Ojai.
Wines We're Pouring
Every wine is made by winemaker Erich Bradley and is available in our online shop.
“To make a single-varietal Syrah from a single vineyard — and have the wine hit all the right curves, in all the right places — that's a harder exercise than a blend. So when you've achieved it, it's worthy of recognition.”

What Makes Ojai Mountain Different
Ojai Mountain is the only winery in Ojai growing and producing wine entirely from its own estate grapes. The vineyard sits at 2,800 feet on fractured Monterey shale, ten miles from the Pacific, where cool nights keep acidity bright through a warm Southern California season.
The vines are hand-farmed, organic and regenerative. In the cellar, the wines ferment with native yeast, use only free-run juice and age in neutral French oak, so what you taste in Malibu is the site itself. Our winemaking approach →
About The Food Event
The Food Event is Los Angeles magazine's annual culinary festival, now in its 20th year. It returns to Calamigos Ranch, a 130-acre property in the Malibu hills, for an afternoon of restaurant tastings, wine, cocktails and craft beer. Tickets are sold through Eventbrite. The event is 21+ with valid photo ID, and all sales are final.
Taste It Where It's Grown
Liked what you tried in Malibu? The mountain is about an hour and a half up the coast. Book a private, sommelier-guided tasting at the estate, with the vineyard walk, cheese and charcuterie, and views to the Channel Islands.
