Introducing Ojai Mountain Winery

We are thrilled to introduce the newest entrant in the Californian wine scene—our very own Ojai Mountain Winery, launched this fall. Nestled just a 20-minute drive from the picturesque city of Ojai, our estate vineyard claims a prestigious spot atop a mountain ridge, standing at an impressive 2,800 feet above sea level. This not only makes it one of the highest-altitude vineyards in California but also marks it as a unique terroir with exceptional wine-growing conditions.

A True Coastal Gem

Ojai Mountain Winery is a true coastal site, located merely ten miles from the Pacific Ocean. Its elevated position above the daily maritime fog line allows the vines to luxuriate in uninterrupted sunlight throughout the day while they enjoy the cool, refreshing mountain air at night. Planted in 2018 on virgin land, once blanketed by dense chaparral, the vineyard thrives under biodynamic principles, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and harmony with nature.

A Team of Visionaries and Experts

Guiding the Ojai Mountain venture is Erich Bradley, known for his remarkable work with brands like Repris, Texture, Pangloss, and Sojourn. Bradley, alongside Phil Coturri of Enterprise Vineyards—a biodynamic pioneer from Sonoma County, and Martin Ramirez—a veteran with over three decades of experience in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties, form the core of our expert team. They are further joined by the famed pruning specialist, Jacopo Miolo from Simonit & Sirch, bringing world-class expertise to our vineyard.

Elevation, Intensity, and Unparalleled Wines

Bradley encapsulates the essence of our vineyard when he says, “Phil, Martin, and I share an obsession with high-elevation sites. You can hit notes that you can't in other places.” The unique skin-to-juice ratios at this elevation allow the production of wines that possess extraordinary depth and intensity. The potential for crafting profound wines at Ojai Mountain is unmatched, with Bradley himself expressing unparalleled excitement about the intensity and concentration the site produces.

Our Inaugural Release: A Testament to Unique Terroir

As we release our first batch of wines this season, we invite you to experience the embodiment of high-altitude viticulture. Each bottle from Ojai Mountain Winery is not just a drink; it’s a journey through the unique terrain, climate, and expertise that shape these exquisite wines. With every sip, you'll taste the fruit of our labor—a labor born from passion, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to quality.

Join us in celebrating this milestone as we embark on an exciting journey with Ojai Mountain Winery, setting new standards in the world of viticulture. Welcome to a new era of high-altitude wine excellence.
