2024 Vintage
Why This Vintage Matters
The 2024 vintage is a reminder that great wines are often defined by the decisions made under pressure. A late-summer heatwave compressed the harvest and demanded careful timing in every block, while regenerative farming and healthy vine canopies gave the vineyard the resilience to withstand extreme conditions. The result is a vintage that captures the intensity of the season without sacrificing freshness, yielding wines of exceptional depth, structure, and a distinctly savory expression of our mountain terroir.
From Blend to Debut
This is the estate's first standalone Tempranillo, born from a bumper crop after 2023's total loss of the variety.
Tempranillo was picked on September 5, just before the season's most intense heat. The color runs notably deep for the variety, a signature of naturally low-vigor vines rooted in steep, wind-exposed shale.

Erich Bradley, Winemaker:
“I have to trust my palate, my point of view. The project's based on that; it's based on a place, a vineyard that's very much alive. I'm the interpreter, effectively, of that site and whatever vintage it is.”
Ojai Mountain
2024 Tempranillo
Our inaugural standalone Tempranillo captures the character of our mountaintop vineyard. More deeply colored than a classic Rioja, it reflects the naturally low-vigor shale soils that produce intensely flavored berries. Red cherry, cranberry, dried rose, leather, and an iron-edged minerality lead to a long, elegant finish.

2025 Vintage
Why This Vintage Matters
The 2025 vintage was defined by restraint. Just 11 inches of rainfall, about 46% of the historical average, challenged the vines from the beginning of the growing season. Healthy canopies, deep-rooted vines, and careful farming preserved balance despite the dry conditions. Grenache Blanc produced its largest crop on record, contributing both generosity and freshness to the final blend.
A Vintage of Precision
The driest growing season to date produced one of our most refined Estate Whites.
Rather than emphasizing richness, the 2025 vintage expresses precision. Bright acidity carries layers of quince, white peach, and Asian pear, while white flowers, fresh fennel, and subtle notes of oyster shell and sea spray reflect the vineyard's cool mountain setting. The finish is long, saline, and mineral, with the quiet tension that comes from a naturally balanced crop and a long, even ripening season.

Ojai Mountain
2025 Estate White
A Rhone-inspired white shaped by mountain elevation rather than Mediterranean warmth. The 2025 vintage is remarkably refined, balancing vibrant acidity with layered orchard fruit, floral complexity, and a long, mineral finish.

Your Questions, Answered
From vineyard visits to our winemaking philosophy—find answers to the most common questions about Ojai Mountain.
The Fall 2026 release includes two estate-grown wines from Ojai Mountain: the 2025 Estate White and the 2024 Tempranillo. The 2025 Estate White is the most refined and terroir-driven expression of the estate's white blend to date, while the 2024 Tempranillo is the estate's first-ever standalone bottling of the variety.
The 2025 Estate White comes from the driest growing season in recent estate history, just 46% of normal rainfall, yet shows no signs of stress thanks to residual subsoil moisture and fast-draining shale soils. Grenache Blanc returned to its largest share of the blend since 2022, and the resulting wine is built on precision and tension rather than weight—the most gastronomic white the estate has produced.
This is the first time Ojai Mountain has bottled Tempranillo on its own rather than as a blending component in the Estate Red. A strong 2024 crop, rebounding from a total loss of the variety the year before, gave the estate enough fruit to make the leap.
Built for fine dining: oysters on the half shell, Dover sole meunière, grilled langoustines, and white truffle risotto all bring out its textural weight, while aged Comté echoes its saline, mineral core.
Grilled lamb chops, duck breast, and wild mushroom risotto suit its bright acidity and fine tannins. Spanish classics like paella, Manchego, and romesco-roasted vegetables echo its red cherry, herb, and iron-edged character directly.
